undoing systems of trauma to cultivate a culture of healing and belonging

We create accountable spaces that facilitate transformational change through education, training, research, and advocacy.

Our work aims to disrupt systems of oppression that have undermined equitable access to health, education, and opportunities for historically marginalized groups.

We employ social justice and intersectionality frameworks to address the underlying conditions and root causes of disparity and inequity within and across systems.

Public Health

We apply systems thinking to tackle health disparities and health inequity in the most marginalized communities. coming to the work with un understanding that poor health outcomes are often rooted in structural barriers to care and systems of oppression (e.g., racism, sexism, classism, homophobia, transphobia), we use an intersectionality lens to develop programs that are human-centered, trauma-informed, and holistic in approach.

Education

We support educational institutions, from K-12 and beyond, to treat their students and educators as “whole” people with a wide array of needs both inside and outside the classroom. our content creation, curriculum development, professional development, and coaching are grounded in social-emotional learning, social justice, and antibias frameworks to ensure that the unique needs of all students, their families, and school staff are addressed through mechanisms that center and celebrate their experiences and perspectives. our culturally responsive approaches cultivate trusted spaces where children and adults can thrive as they build meaningful relationships and foster a growth mindset.

Diversity, Inclusion, Equity

It is not lost upon us that organizations and teams are at various stages in their diversity, inclusion, and equity journeys; thus, we take a customized approach to identifying and addressing the unique needs of each of our clients. our work begins with recognizing unequal starting points and engaging in an ongoing and transparent process to review current practices, solicit staff input about the state of the organization and ways to re-vision how work is conducted, and gather feedback from consumers. traditionally, institutions have perceived equity as an outcome, yet its power lies in the fact that it is a living, shifting, and transmutable process that meets individuals and teams where they are. no matter where you are in your diversity, inclusion, and equity process, we have the experience and expertise to strategize with and assist you in getting where you want to be. we aim to develop systems and processes to ensure that stakeholders within your organization, from executive teams and frontline staff to administrative support and those you serve, internalize the value of promoting equity in the spaces where we live, work, and play.
